Family Visiting

Well, my aunt and uncle were in town last week through this weekend visiting and that was really nice. They got to come and see our house. I think they're the first family members to visit. We've had several friends from out of state come and stay though.

Then yesterday afternoon, my brother came into town! I was so happy to see him. It's been over a year since I last saw him because he's National Guard and went to Iraq for a year and just got back in late June. He then moved to ND so he's nearer to us. His friends were heading this way and he came along with them and stayed here while they're visiting the Black Hills area.

I introduced him to the finer arts of Guitar Hero II. Now if you don't love that game, there's got to be something wrong with you. Everyone's got an inner rock star somewhere! Out of our family, I'm probably the best at it. I think I could have been a rock start in my OTHER life! HAHA! Anyway, I taught him how to play it and then I think he was up until after 1am playing that game. He has an Xbox 360 too. I think he'll own the game soon himself! The thing that pisses me off about it is that I had a PS2 and DH had a regular Xbox. The only game I really played on the PS2 was Guitar Hero II. DH of course has been wanting an Xbox 360 but I refused to get one. Well, when Guitar Hero II came out on it, I said ok, we could trade both game consoles into one of the used places and see what they gave us and get ONE console! So we did. And then they were sold out of the 2nd guitar control. And have been ever since the first game came out apparently. So I finally had to spend the $90 to just buy the game + guitar again just so we could have the 2nd guitar. It's ridiculous! I think the makers of the Xbox should refund everyone who had to purchase the second guitar controller that way!

Today I got the kids registered for school again (Thank GOD school starts soon!!) and then we decided to take my brother to Reptile Gardens. We killed a couple of hours there and then headed off to have lunch and by the time we got home, all of us adults were exhausted and ready for naps! Mom and my brother crashed on the loveseat and couch. I booted up the computer and went through emails, placed an order for fabrics, etcetera.

Then Mom and my brother decided to head up to Rushmore to see it lit up at night and took the kids with them! Woohoo! I stayed home to get some orders done as I hadn't worked on any today since I was doing the whole tourist thing! I got alot done tonight actually so that's great!

I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I package and ship in the morning! I LOVE the feeling!

Well, I'm off to browse the web!

Oh, I did this today. I do these things, but they have no purpose. They're still fun!
