3 days and counting

HOME LIFE:

3 more days until my best friend is here. Can't wait! Not much to tell you other than I'm still trying to clean up a bit before they get here. I have to start looking at toddler height and lower to make sure there's nothing the little ones see that they could get their hands on! I got the boys' slip n slide out today. Mom gave it to them for Easter year before this past one and I just have never gotten it out. (Though they've begged several times) As it is, it's staying out until we mow the front yard because the thing is a pain in the butt to lay down and pick back up. I took some cute pics of the boys flying down it. They were only interested for about 20 minutes. I can't believe how much begging was involved in setting it up and then they didn't really care so much. Go figure!

Have I told you how much my oldest absolutely adores Toby Keith? I signed up for the fan club and got him the necklace, the CD, the T-shirt. I think he'd sleep in that T-shirt if I let him! He wrote TK a letter about a year ago and every once in awhile he still thinks about it and wonders if TK will ever write him back. I don't want to break his heart and tell him not to hold his breath. He gets so excited when he hears that Toby Keith is playing for the troops overseas. That's his favorite thing about Toby Keith. He supports the military.

Anyway, their fan club website is having a drawing for an autographed director's chair. I put my name in hoping I'd win. Wow, what a great 12th bday present that would be for him!!




MILITARY LIFE:

Not much new there either. Hubby's been a little late due to some things going on he's had to deal with but what's new really? He's got to go to a graduation on Thursday evening and it's semi-formal. Sadly, I won't get to see him all dressed up until he comes home because he's just going to head over after work. I wasn't sure about taking the boys to it and I know they'd be bored, so I opted out. Not like I really have anything to wear anyway!

STITCHING:

I did my Dawn Fairy SAL yesterday and I feel like I got farther than I have recently on her. I almost didn't want to put her down. Here she is from June 4th:

I feel terrible showing this fabric as it was one that was a bad dye job and instead of tossing it, I decided to just stitch on it and salvage it. Oh well, what can you do? I'm back to Moon Fairy Spirit the rest of the week UNLESS I finally decide which wedding sampler to stitch for my cousin's wedding in September.
