Counting the Days

Tomorrow it'll be 5 months that my husband has been deployed. I know we're on the downslope here, but man does this seem like it's taking forever! Since nursing school is out for the summer, I need another form of escapism to make the time go by faster. So, I have been glued to my Kindle all week reading a variety of books until all my favorite sequels come out. Too bad a lot of them come out in August...right when school starts again!

My hubby is feeling down. He doesn't think this deployment is as fun as the last. They had lots of pranks going on last time so, I've decided to send him a prank box. I filled it with whoopie cushions, squirt guns, nerf guns, slingshot rockets, water balloons, etcetera. I'm hoping it'll help him get people going over there. Yes, my hubby may be nearly 42, but he's still a kid at heart!

Meanwhile, I'm just trying to keep the boys and me busy so we can get through the last bit! Oh yeah, AND get the bathroom reno done. I have no idea how long these things take. Tomorrow I'll go out and buy the new tub, toilet, vanity, tile, etcetera. The guy says he's coming before the end of June to start the project, so I'm hoping it'll be finished before the summer is over? I get dibs on the first jacuzzi bath! :D I'm imagining filling that tub, lighting some candles, and having adult beverages after a long day at clinicals!!

I sent off my Grateful Nation to Jill Rensel to be framed and her ideas look fabulous, so I can't wait to share pictures when it's finished! Currently working on the Trick or Treat fairy and hoping that'll be done before the summer is over too! I'm already on the kreiniks and then I have a bit of outlining and some beading to do, so I'm thinking it won't take too much longer! Then I'll have to decide what to work on next...or maybe start something new! *grin*
